Comment: Just a note to say how special our safari was. From meeting us at the airport, even with a delay,to the stay at the marvellous Impala hotel, to the safari itself and a final transfer to the airport.

The punctuality by John our guide and Abu our cook plus their attention to detail were admirable. The skills, knowledge and enthusaism was very much appreciated by us both. We saw more animals, with a greater variety, than we could have hoped for. Each day was inspiring and our meals were of local, fresh produce and very tasty.

Finally thanks to Peniel for his tireless efforts to organise this special week and his prompt replies to all our e-mails.

Comment: Thank you very much for an incredible trip.

Everything concerning the accomodations, guides, transprortation and wildlife viewing exceeded our expectations.

Peniel was very professional and took care of all the details concerning the 5 day Safari. Geoffery, our guide, was an excellent travelling companion, wildlife finder, safety manager and teacher.

We strongly recommend using this tour operator for your once in a lifetime safari to Tanzania.

Comment: I am happy to reply with feedback on the really fantastic trip we took at the end of May in 2009.

The tour operator did a professional job from beginning to end. We were met as planned at every juncture.

Our agent (Neema) was helpful all along the way during the planning. Our guide (Partson) quickly became friends to us. He was knowledgeable and professional. I am recommending them to friends at this time, and strongly suggesting they ask for the same guide.

We toured a different park in Tanzania each day, and slept in a different lodge ech night. The accommodatnios ands the food were excellent. We saw all the big five as well, which is rare for a first trip.

All in all, it was a perfect trip.

Comment: It was fantastic safari!

Our driver/guide Huruma is an experienced guide and we saw at least 10 lions, cheetahs, leopard, 50 or more hippos, hundrets of elephants, zebras lots of giraffes and 5 black rhinos, one leopard eating his prey and later crossing the road just in front of our Toyota 4 Runner. We took over 2000 exeptional pictures!

We had very good cook ( Aboo ). He prepared for us fantastic breakfasts, lunches and suppers. We were camping and it was very rewarding experience. We organized our tour with Mwanaid, 26 years old female tourist consultant from Arusha. She booked our hotel and return bus tickets from Arusha to Mombasa, Kenya.

Great people, highly recommended!!!

Comment: We had a fantastic safari in northern Tanzania, thanks to the excellent guide and organizational service provided by the operator.

Our guide, Huruma, was extremely knowledgeable about mammals and especially birds, which was an added (and unexpected) bonus, as I am a bird-lover as well. Huruma was patient, witty and very friendly, and went out of his way to take us to places where he thought we could see special birds. Our cook Abu made highly varied, delicious vegetarian meals, which was also a surprise.

The only thing that was not easy about the experience was paying - we forwarded the deposit via bank transfer and paid the remainder in cash on arrival.

But other than that, we give the experience a 10 out of 10 score

Comment: After inquiring about the tour package I asked for a customized tour as I wanted to see and do things in other places than what was offered in the package. Our trip was very professionally organized and in a very timely manner. Everything that was outlined in the itinerary was provided. There were no unpleasant surprises.

We dealt with a Mr. Seif Mohamed who was very professional and organized our trip with no glitch.

Our guide and driver, Huruma, spoke good English, was very knowledgeable, courteous and ever so obliging. Our vehicle was cleaned every day and we were never rushed at any place.

Thank you for making our safari a very memorable one! For integrity, professionalism, organization and a wonderful safari, the safari operator come out in flying colours in my books.

Thank you, Africa Guide for referring us.

Comment: We were very satisfied with our safari and felt the operator delivered the services we expected.

The two of us felt very relaxed and comfortable with Naiman, our guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable and conversed easily in English. Each of the four parks was unique and during the five days we saw everything but the elusive leopard. The accommodation and food at the safari lodges was very good.

We did quite a bit of research for a safari operator and found them, they offered the best price for quality of product, and they delivered.

I would not hesitate to recommend this operator to others.

Comment: Generally spoken, we were very happy with the provided service and the product, apart from one aspect.

Consultation- and booking process:
Starting with my first mail until the last one, Mr. George responded always in a very short time, provided us with the requested information, tailor-made the initial product according to our wishes and so impressed me by his very professional service!!

Payment procedures:
The first installments were very easy to make through Internet-banking. For the rest-payment, Mr. Elifasi Sumari attended us the first evening but was not prepared to give us any receipt neither for the first payments nor for the second one. Therefore we passed the day after at the office of WC.

Arrival:
Due to cancellation of flights some of the group-members had to rearrange their arrival. They informed WC and to our very positive surprise the driver (Mr. Apolo) and Mr.Elifasi were expecting us at the airport. Good feeling to arrive tired in the evening and being welcomed!

WTC-lodge:
According to our itinerary, we had to spend the first night at the WTC-lodge…. As nice as the arrival was, as bad and disappointing was the drive (very bad road, through deep mud and arriving in “the middle of no where”) and especially the WTC-lodge. The first impression always counts!! All of us where shocked by the standard of this place (sorry to sound so overbearing.. we live ourselves in Africa and know very well simple conditions, thus have no problem to stay in such places…it was rather a matter of expectation). We just expected something else, being in line /same level as the other accommodations we book for our trip! We thought, that somebody is trying to make a private deal with us and after having inspected the place (bath-room installations leaking everywhere, house in general very dirty etc. ), we decided to change the place. In order not to offend the cook Alex at the the lodge completely, we hat first dinner and moved than to the Impala-Hotel.

In short, nobody informed me about the different standards of the lodge and Impala. I expect by booking a lodge-safari- package that the operator should be sensible enough to advise a more appropriated place than WTC. It was just not fitting in our package and made us very suspicious about the credibility of the operator. Especially when we searched a discussion to clarify the situation, Mr. Elifasi “lost” more or less his English and only thanks to the very good and constructive interventions of Mr. Apolo the affair was solved. Looking backwards, it is really a pity that we had to experience this bad first impression because afterwards everything was nearly close to perfect….

Safari-trip:
The rest of the Safari was one big highlight. Everything promised and booked, worked out without one single problem and we could fully relax and enjoy every moment. A special praise and thank I like to give to Mr. Apolo, our driver. Some of us are living more than 10 years in East Africa and visited already many times different national parks (including the ones of our Safari).

Mr. Apolo immediately found the right language with all of us, was always in a good mood, showed great ability in communication and entertainment, felt always the “temperature”, organized everything around us in a very professional manner, convinced us with his excellent driving skills and therefore will remain as one of the “stars” during the Safari (beside the big five, we have seen I could consider him as the number 6…).

Overlooking the lodge issue, we will definitely recommend them further. Value-price-ration is excellent!

Tour Operators Reply:

Thank you for the feedback. The clients were given the option of Impala and WCT for the arrival day. I think, due to the difference in price, they opted for WCT lodge.

I agree that the details of the hotels are very important. After realising that our clients were not happy we proposed for Impala hotel and from that point everything went well as it has been indicated.T he point is noted and this will be rectified.

We thank them for the very constructive feedback, this has helped us to know the weaknesses and hopefully it will never happen to other customers

Comment: The safari operator was competent.

They delivered everything they promised which resulted in a memorable safari.

The key was providing us with a superb driver/guide, Apollo. He had a smile from ear to ear and an attitude to match as well as being well informed and anxious to satisfy. The tent camps and lodges were great.

We'll use this firm again.

Comment: We just enjoyed the most exciting 7-day Tanzanian safari!

My husband and I returned to Africa with our three teenaged children so they could experience first hand Africa and all it has to offer. We booked our safari with this operator and I will admit that I was nervous about wiring that amount of cash to someone I had never met on the internet!

When we arrived, we were greeted by our airport shuttle service and wisked off to our hotel. All of the accommodations were great - Not all were 5-star, but they certainly were clean, well managed and friendly.

I suggest people try a tented camp at least once if they schedule a safari. We stayed at two - Wild Africa Lodge and Tarangire River Camp - during our 7 days and they were wonderful. These are tents with wood floors, decks, furniture and a full bathroom. They are tastefully decorated - and nothing like "camping"!

I would not hesitate to use Africa Guide and this operator again! Thanks for the memories!
