We had a wonderful driver/guide and a great cook. Game drives and meals exceeded our expectations.
However it was a bit of a disappointment to have to pay an extra 520 Euros at the last minute because of Tanzania National Park fee increases.
Itinerary
6 DAYS L. MANYARA/NGORONGORO/SERENGETI/TARANGIRE
Day 01: Arusha- Lake Manyara. After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel. Thereafter depart for Lake Manyara National Park for An afternoon game drive via Namanga border town for immigration formalities and Arusha town for lunch. The park is renowned for it’s bird life, which includes flamingo and Egyptian geese as well as its tree-climbing lions. The park is small in size and the time you spend there will be sufficient to cover the park exhaustively. Dinner and overnight at lodge/campsite.
Day 2: Lake Manyara - Serengeti After breakfast depart for the Serengeti crater lunch enroute to arrive in time for an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at the campsite/lodge
Day 3: Serengeti Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge/camp in the mid-afternoon. The term “Serengeti” means “endless plains” in Masai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah. The park is normally the scene off the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, which occurs between the Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. Eagles, flamingo, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, heron, kite, pelican, crane and guinea fowl are among the birds that can be seen in the park. Dinner at a lodge/camp.
Day 4: Serengeti - Ngorongoro After breakfast, depart the Serengeti National part to Ngorongoro conservation area via the pre-historic site at Olduvai Gorge. The gorge museum has great wealth of the remains of various fauna and flora from the early man era. Continue to the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at lodge/campsite.
Day 05: Ngorongoro -Tarangire After breakfast depart for Tarangire National park with lunch en-route. The park has an atmosphere of remoteness and has fewer visitors than all the other parks in Tanzania’s entire northern circuit. Blue monkeys, hornbills, pelicans, herons, can be seen as well as elephants in large herds, cheetah, jackal, fish eagle, marabou stork an hippos. Dinner and overnight at lodge/campsite.
Day 06: Tarangire-Arusha - Nairobi After breakfast, proceed on a game drive then depart for Arusha for lunch and your onward transfer to Nairobi via Namanga border town for immigration formalities, arriving in the evening or arrive in Arusha in the evening.
