Situated in an excellent game viewing area, Satara has relatively open bushland and the game is plentiful and diverse. Satara camp itself has a rustic charm, with the accommodation set out in a series of circles. Satara camp is well wooded and the bird-life is prolific. At night the clink of fruit bats is fused with the chirping of cicadas and crickets. Owls and nightjars add to the symphony that is punctuated by the whoop of hyena, the screech of jackal and the roar of lion.
Accommodation consists of a one-bedroomed en-suite unit that sleeps two people (includes fresh linen and towels).
Lower Sabie (restcamp/south eastern Kruger)
8 TO 11 JANUARY 2019 (3 NIGHTS)
Large numbers of game are attracted to the abundance of water, sweet grass and foliage near Lower Sabie Rest Camp, giving rise to a diversity of game, almost unequalled anywhere else in the Park. The area is also rich in lion, cheetah, elephant, hippopotamus, rhino, herds of buffalo up to 800 strong, and is known for its high density of warthog.
Accommodation consists of a private en-suite cottage that sleeps two people, that is fully serviced (fresh linen and towels) under beautiful thatched roofs overlooking the Sabie river that includes fresh linen and towels.
Return road transfers from Nelspruit and to Kruger.
