From the wilderness of Niassa Game Reserve to the magical Medjumbe Private Island - this is a fantastic package holiday for those wanting a real taste of Africa and Mozambique.

Lugenda Wilderness Camp is situated in the Niassa Game Reserve up in the far North of Mozambique. This wonderful, undiscovered part of the country is only accessible for a few months a year, due to the rains making it unpassable the rest of the time. The luxury East African tented camp is set along the banks of the Lugenda River, amongst giant fig trees and wonderful scenery. The wildlife is brilliant with elepahants, lion, zebra, wild dog and so much to to find. Enjoy guided safari drives and guided bush walks, with professional guides. Enjoy delicous meals under African skys. This really is your ulimate bush experience.

After spending 3 nights in the wilderness it's time to soak up the sun on the golden beaches of Medjumbe Private Island. Situated in the wonderful Quirimbas Archipelago, Medjumbe is the perfect place to unwind and relax, enjoying crystal clear waters and hot African sun. The island is a mere 1km long and 500m wide and has 13 wonderful palm thatched beach chalets and outside each chalet is a private plunge pool offering stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

The resort offers scuba diving, fishing and other watersports.

Spend 3 nights at Medjumbe.

ITINERARY

Friday to Friday

Friday
Spend 1 night at the lovely Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa in a courtyard room - you can fly into Pemba from Johannesburg, Maputo or Dar es Salaam - fight not included.
Included - Breakfast, return transfers from Pemaba airport, botteld water & tea/coffee in the room, non-motorised watersports/equipment & emergency medical evacuation.

Saturday-Monday
Depart to Lugenda Wilderness Camp by light aircraft, from Pemba. Spend the next 3 nights in luxury tents in the African bush.
Included - All meals, soft drinks, bottled water, house wines, local beer and selected house spirits, tea/coffee, scheduled safari activities & emergency medical evacuation. Light aircraft transfers.

Tuesday
Depart from Lugenda Wilderness Camp to Medjumbe Private Island, by light aircraft. Spend 3 nights in a lovely beach chalet on this tropical island.
Included - All meals, soft drinks, bottled water, house wines, local beer and selected house spirits, tea/coffee, mini bar, scheduled safari activities & emergency medical evacuation. Light aircraft transfers.

Exclude
Pemba - International/domestic flights to Pemba, arrival/departure taxes, visas, meals/drinks unless stated above, spa treatments, laundry, gratuity and activities no mentioned above.

Lgenda - specialised and/or premium brand beverages, food and beverage sercies to tents, laundry, park/conservancy fees and all items not stated above, gratuities, activites not stated above.

Medjumbe - food and beverage services to the beach chalets, laundry, motorised watersports and activities not stated above, park fees specialised/premium brand beverages.

What to Pack?
Long trousers for evenings, long sleeve shirts for evenings (formal attire not necessary). Sun block, hats, swimming costume, comfortable walking shoes, flip flops, cameras etc & chargers/adaptors.
We do provide hair dryers, bath/beach towels and standard hotel amenities.

Important Information - luggage on light aircraft is limited to 15KG per person. Everyone except SADC passport holders require a tourist visa for Mozambique.
Mozambique is a malaria area so please consult your doctor.
