This 4* Lodge is located on the banks of the Govuro River in Mozambique overlooking the estuary. The lodge faces west and enjoys spectacular sunsets in a quiet and peaceful setting and the perfect spot for good fishing, both off shore & in the estuary.
May - September are brilliant months for Snoek & Cuta.
With luxury lodge accommodation including six twin chalets, and two luxury villas which sleep six adults and six children. Each villa has its own swimming pool and lovely views of the estuary.
The main area consists of a lounge with TV, dining room and bar, all connected a big wooden deck in front and a plunge pool. The view from the bar is spectacular, especially at sunset.
This is not only a fishing lodge, but also offers good bird watching, kayaking and snorkelling to name but a few of the lodge’s beach holiday activities. We also offer a fine dining with an abundance of fresh seafood, from crab to calamari.
Our 31 foot fishing boat is perfect for a variety of types of Deep-sea fishing. With a supply of good fishing spots not far off the coast a huge variety of fish can be caught here. Most commonly being Mackerel, Cuta, King Fish, Queenfish as well as seasonal Marlin and Sailfish - October - February.
These fish can be caught using a variety of different techniques, i.e. lure, fly, jigging and bait fishing. The estuary offers many species of fish for light tackle fishing and fly fishing. Snapper & Grunter are caught in the estuary, as well as kingfish. Our resident, expert fishing guide knows the area well and will best advise you on what/where & how.
Explore the estuary from one of our little “tinnie” boats – our experienced guides will take you up the waterways where they will show you the best fishing spots - great for light tackle fishing and fly fishing.
All fishing is Tag & Release but 1 or 2 fish can be taken back for the pot!
After a long day fishing, enjoy a sundowner cruise up the estuary.
As certain species are seasonal, please ask the right questions on booking to avoid disappointment.
