Cecil contacted me with all the information I could ever need in planning a trip to South Africa which was quite useful.
We were going to be in South Africa for 9 days and had a big list of places we wanted to see so we arranged a customized itinerary. They worked with me tirelessly to include everything in our itinerary and to stay within our budget using a combination of day tours and self drive.
Our trip was fantastic. The tours were great and we were very happy with all the accommodations.
For anyone traveling to South Africa, I would highly recommend using this tour operator

|Comment:||My buddy and I just got back from the safari at Kruger and Moholoholo.
We expected to have a good experience of course, but we never would have imagined just how great a trip it would turn out to be. We saw all of the "Big Five" as well as countless other animals, and found the accomodations to be just what we were looking for.
I must tell you that one of the most positive and enjoyable aspects of our trip was our excellent guide, Mart Van der Felt. Her knowledge and professionalism was top notch, and her enthusiasm and joyful personality was positively contagious. This added a dimension to our trip that was far beyond what we ever would have expected. If we asked her a question about something, and she did'nt know the answer (a rare occurrence), she would show up later after researching the subject with even more information than we had asked for.
During the long drive to Kruger and back, she dazzled us with her knowledge of the geography, history, and culture of the people that inhabited the various landscapes we travelled through. It seemed like Mart couldn't do enough for us, even bringing Charlie lunch when he wasn't feeling well one day, or offering to do our laundry (I thought this was way above and beyond so I did it myself).
In closing I would like to thank the operator and his staff for the speedy answers to all my inquiries, your service, and for making my first safari something I will remember for the rest of my life. I would gladly recommend this operator to any friend who is interested in going to Africa.
Hopefully I will get the chance to return some day.

|Comment:||Our tour through Kruger National Park took a little organising, mainly because we were unsure of our dates initially, and also because we did not know how much we were willing to pay for a tour.
However, Cecil provided us with some very clear choices. We selected our itinerary, confirmed it with Cecil, arranged payment via money transfer and that was it. However, before our safari, we spent just over 2 weeks in the UK and The Netherlands, before arriving in Johannesburg. 6am, and we were greeted with a very warm welcome from our guide, Nico Campher.
As time went by, we became very appreciative of the knowledge Nico has acquired over his years in a range of activities. The trip to the park was filled in with lessons on the social and economic history of SA. Our main objective was to reach Shingwedzi camp by 6pm. This was achieved with minutes to spare, despite having to stop for repairs to a noisy exhaust system, and despite a very large elephant deciding to stand on the road just a few hundred metres from the camp, holding up several vehicles. However, Nico won the game of bluff and we made it.
The five days we spent in the park filled us with a sense of awe and sheer delight. The range of plant, bird and animal life which Nico taught us about totally exceeded our expectations. We were so fortunate to have a guide of his calibre. The tour ended in Pretoria, somewhat with a sense of sadness that we were saying farewell, but the tour was the highlight of our 5 week vacation, and the memories and photographs will endure.
We must say thank you to Cecil for his organisation, and a big hug to Nico for his skills, knowledge and friendship.

|Comment:||We were travelling to South Africa for a brief period, and allowed ourselves only 2-3 days for a safari. The operator suggested a private guided tour of Pilanesberg National Park, and took care of all the fine details.
Our guide, Nico met us at the airport, and took care of everything for us for the next 2and 1/2 days-leaving us carefree. We thoroughly enjoyed the safari through Pilanesberg; Nico was informative, courteous, punctual and friendly.
The safari was definitely the highlight of our trip. We can definitely recommend the operator and hope to book a walking safari with them in the future!

|Comment:||My husband and I and our 6 year old son have just returned from our trip of a lifetime and it could not have been possible without the fantastic services of the operator.
From our very first contact, Cecil dealt with our queries with the utmost professionalism and dedication. He is a truly passionate South African with a wealth of knowledge and information about one of the worlds most beautiful countries.
After many wonderful suggestions and ideas from Cecil, we decided to spend our safari experience at the Serondella Game Lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve.
From the moment we arrived we were treated with care and gracious hospitality. Our accommodations in a private thatched chalet was simply luxurious. Delicious meals were served on a beautiful deck overlooking the magnificent bush and waterholes, the sounds of the area were magical. Our hosts, tracker, and the entire staff were warm and welcoming - their knowledge of the bush, wildlife and surrounding areas made our visit that much more special.
The game viewing far exceeded our expectations thanks to our fabulous tracker Themba and Ranger John - we saw the Big 5 within the first 24 hours of our stay, not too mention the other countless spectacular species of mammals, birds, snakes and insects - we even had a constellation lesson of the stars on our game drive back one evening! Well done Jess and John of the Serondella Game Lodge for making it a truly magical place - we will treasure our beautiful memories for years to come, a trip we will never forget!
And a great big thank you to Cecil for guiding us through what has been a journey of a lifetime.

|Comment:||We got what we were looking for. We saw a lot more tambuki than we expected...
The service provided by the guides on safari was very, very, very good. We learnt a lot about your country and the bush (from the helmeted guinnefowls to the wildebees, the hartebees and the marullahtrees...)
Of course, when we come back to South Africa and we certainly will recommend your services to our friends all over Europe.
Trip Operators Response:
– thank you very much for your most valuable feedback.
Nico told me that you were having a hard time to find lots of animals - the unprecedented high tambuki grass to blame. Although we are very thankful for the above average rainfall we had, it does make the game viewing a touch more difficult.
Thank you again for the compliments and effort to send us your feedback – it is very much appreciated.

|Comment:||Our trip to Africa was wonderful....we were lucky to see a fair proportion of the country in a short time. We were particularly impresed with the service provided by the operator based in J'berg.
The courtesy, professionalism and service we received from Cecil, the proprietor, made our trip. His knowledge and service was second to none...we really felt we arrived as strangers but left as friends.
All this from a simple booking over the internet.....we will certainly reccomend them to our friends and rebook ourselves in the future

|Trip:||South Africa Kruger Park Family Safari 3 days|
|Comment:||On safari, our guide (who grew up in South Africa) knew what species we were looking at as soon as he saw it, he also had a reference book so we could find out more about the animals. We took our own binoculars, but he had some available too.
Amongst many other things, we saw a cheetah eating and feeding it's cub. We also had a close encounter with a Bull Elephant (luckily it held it's trunk up, so we knew it was a 'false charge'). My son was impressed!
Ten out of ten!

|Comment:||Our experience was nothing short of fantastic!
Our tour operator was very helpful and patient with our many questions leading up the trip, and did an excellent job with our additions to the scheduled tour. The tour vehicle, choices of accommodation, food, and the guide himself were all exceptional. The knowledge of the guide, as well as his personal touches, made this an unforgettable journey.
I would highly recommend this operator anyone thinking of visiting South Africa!
Thank you as well for a great website that lead us to this operator!

|Comment:||I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had on tour. Cecil was so very knowledgeable about everything. The accommodations were wonderful. As were the experiences.
I had picked his tour originally because of the variety of things to do and I was not disappointed. I was more interested in culture and the people as a sociologist. Cecil was very patient with me as I have problems climbing and fell quite a few times. And enjoyed being pulled by one girl and pushed by the other to get up a few hills - not bad for an old lady.
I would certainly recommend this operator as a guide tour.

|Comment:||Myself, my wife and our four children (aged 10, 9 and twins 4) had a great time on our recent Safari in Kruger Park. Our guide Cecil made a special effort to meet us at the International Airport because our flight had been delayed.
The vehicle was highly suitable for a family group and the children had a great time, being able to lie out on the back platform though still safe inside the vehicle. We saw a large number of park animals and birds over the two days and some at close quarters. Cecil was a fund of knowledge and stimulated the children's interest in the Park and the animals.
Our accommodation in the park was in a large air-conditioned cottage which was very comfortable and the meals provided by Cecil on the tour were fantastic.
We would have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending this tour especially for families with young children.
