Get to see the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the popular centerpiece of Mikumi, which draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. Mikumi National Park abuts the northern border of Africa's biggest game reserve - the Selous – and is transected by the surfaced road between Dar es Salaam and Iringa. It is thus the most accessible part of a 75,000 square kilometre (47,000 square mile) tract of wilderness that stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean.

Day 1: Dar-Mikumi
Drive to Mikumi np from Dar-es-salaam, evening game drive in mikumi np over night at mikumi wildlife camp.

Day 2: Mikumi
Morning and evening game drive/full day game drive

Day 3: Mikumi-Udzungwa
Early morning game drive in mikumi after lunch departing to Udizungwa mountains np, evening explore the mountain, over night at Udzungwa mountain pick hotel.

Day 4: Udzungwa
A day exploring the mountain

Day 5: Udzungwa-Selous
Transit to Selous game drive over night at sable mountain lodge

Day 6: Selous
Full day game drive with picnic lunch in the bush overnight at Selous mbega camp

Day 7: Selous
Morning boat safari and evening game drive

Day 8: Selous
Early morning game drive and evening boat safari.

Day 9: Selous-Dar
Drive to Dar-es-salaam/flying to Zanzibar or Dar.

based on camping with a minium of 2 persons sharing. This itinerary can be customised to suit you and can be upgraded to lodge accommodation

-Private 4WD Land Cruiser or Land Rover with photographic roof hatch for safaris and transipot.
