Teacher and curriculum support
With sustainability as a focus, you may be involved in in-service training of English teachers to help improve subject knowledge and methodology
One-to-one English lessons for adults
Including teaching NGO staff, tour guides, museum guides, local community (voluntary conversational classes). You will be inspired by these highly motivated people who work really hard to improve their English skills, in order to better communicate in the international arena and improve job prospects.
English lessons for surrounding communities
Including teaching in the rural communities of Sainte Luce and Mahatalaky. These picturesque locations are the perfect backdrop for your work in more rural communities. You can also partake in some of the construction programme (building rural schools) and conservation programme (lemur and other animal research) activities as you deliver tailor-made lessons to yet more enthusiastic students.
In an attempt to build capacity, we may ask you to help create multimedia literacy and conversational English lesson resources, for example, radio literacy broadcasts and CDs for local taxi drivers, law courts and mayoral officials, thereby leaving a valuable legacy beyond your time here with us.
