Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdares
Depart from Nairobi app 0800-0830hrs for The Ark, Treetops or Mountain Lodge. The Ark * Treetops is situated in the Aberdare National Park, deep in the mountain. This unique lodge, The Ark resembles a ship; They are are all overlooking floodlit waterholes and saltlick which are visited by a variety of animals. Often seen here are the elephant, rhino and bushbuck. Occasionally a leopard or giant forest hog may be seen. Before driving to The Ark or Treetops, lunch is taken at The Aberdare Country Club and The Outspan respectively. Mountain Lodge does not have a base Hotel.
Dinner and breakfast at The Tree Hotel.

Day 2: Aberdares - Samburu
Leave after breakfast 0900hrs, to drive into Samburu passing through Isiolo, the gateway to “George Adamson’s” land of lions, reaching Samburu Lodge/Intrepids or similar by lunch time 1230-1300hrs. Samburu is an open Savannah plan and in the vicinity of the Uaso Nyiro River. One can find the dik dik, rhino, buffalo, elephants, cheetah, leopard and lion. Unique to this area are the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the long-necked gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx, of course not forgetting the hippos and crocodiles in the river and a hundred different species of birds including the Somali ostrich. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3: Samburu
Morning game drive after a hot cup of coffee/tea app 0630hrs, return for breakfast and siesta. You can enjoy reading a book, play cards, go for a swim or even vist a local village (extra cost). Another leisure break after lunch. You will return to the game reserve at app 1600-1830hrs before coming back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast 0800hrs, depart for Lion Hill camp or Lake Nakuru Lodge. You will arrive at the beautiful pink Lake of Nakuru filled with the flamingoes, pelicans. Lunch is served at The Lion hill Lodge. This park boasts wildlife species of leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo, lion amongst other herbivores and bird species. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Leave after breakfast and drive to the Mara Sopa or Keekorok Lodge similar, situated in Masai Mara; the richest game park in Kenya. Set up very naturally in the heart of Masai Mara, the Park gives you the opportunity to view a wide selection of wildlife such as lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard, rhino, giraffe and buffalo. All meals are taken at the lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara
After breakfast 0800-0830hrs, this day is spent exploring the Mara plains for predators & herbivores and a visit to the Hippo Pool to enjoy the crocodiles basking on the banks of Mara river; of course not forgetting a view into the Serengeti plains across the Kenya / Tanzania border. All meals are taken at your lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Depart after a morning game drive and breakfast. Enjoy a picnic lunch en-route to arrive back in Nairobi at app 1600-1800hrs.

This tour can commence with Masai Mara depending on availability of rooms in the Hotels/lodges.
You can combine this tour with a beach holiday to Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu and Zanzibar, mountaineering to Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro, walking and cultural safaris e.t.c. Please do not hesitate to contact our reservations desk for further assistance.
