Berg-enDal (restcamp/south western Kruger)
Accommodation is in a private en-suite one-bedroomed cottage under thatch (includes fresh linen and towels plus fridge freezer) that sleeps two to three people close to the camp's perimeter fence where animals are often seen walking in the dry river to bed towards the dam.
Berg-en-Dal means 'mountain and dale' aptly named for its superb location. Great care has been taken to preserve the natural vegetation in the camp area, which comprises Malelane Mountain Bushveld (woodland), attracting a variety of grazers. The area hosts white rhino, kudu, impala, giraffe, elephant, reedbuck, klipspringer, grey rhebok and warthog. Leopard and wild dog are regularly seen in the region. Bird watchers will find the appeal of Berg-en-Dal restcamp irresistible as a wide variety of birds species can be seen here.
The camp also has a swimming pool for cooling off in the heat of the day.
Your guide and chef take up residence in a nearby cottage from where they will host your mealtimes, fireside conversations and hospitality.
