center as well as a new section dedicated to Volunteer Programmes and
Conservation Projects.

Volunteer & Conservation Projects Due to popular demand we have added a this New section to our
travel center. There are a variety of ways to make yourself useful whether you
are on holiday or on your gap year. The minimum participation age limit is 18
years and applicants up to the age of 65 are welcome |

Conservation & Research in Seychelles 35 Days: As an expedition
member joining the team, you will spend your time diving upon the coral reef,
collecting characterisation and monitoring identification and abundance data on
invertebrates and fish species. You will also be able to increase your dive
qualifications to PADI Advanced Diver and take some PADI Speciality
courses |

With Rhinos In Uganda 28 Days: Be involved in the reintroduction of
rhinos to Uganda, and experience the gems that East Africa and its wildlife
have to offer. |

conservation expedition in South Africa 35 Days: Play a hands-on
role in the long term conservation of African wildlife, enjoy first-class
wildlife viewing and live on a Game Reserve in the heart of South Africa as

work with Vervet monkeys in South Africa 14 Days: Join this
pioneering rehabilitation center to help conserve the Vervet monkey. Not only
will you learn about these primates, you will also experience the fascinating
flora and fauna of South Africa and enjoy life in a traditional African bush

Volunteer
with turtles in Ghana 28 Days: Protect nesting turtles and educate
the local community about conservation. The volunteers responsibilities are
diverse, but will include beach patrols, collecting eggs and releasing
hatchlings, research, and educating locals on the importance of protecting
their wildlife from extinction. |

Volunteer
work with desert elephants in Namibia 14 Days: Track, study and
research desert elephants in a beautiful remote area of Namibia. Volunteers
will spend days out in the desert on patrol, camping wild and living close to
the earth, elephants and people. The majority of the work is with the local
subsistence farmers, building protective walls around their water points, and
teaching them the skills needed in managing the conflict with the resident
elephant populations. You will also assist the project staff in monitoring the
elephants movements. |

in Madagascar with Lemur Venture 56 Days: offers a unique
opportunity to gain valuable conservation skills and experience as well as to
make a significant contribution towards helping some of the world's most
threatened and remarkable creatures. Volunteers will work closely with trained
professionals from both PBZT and the NGO to gain an insight into real grass
roots conservation.

African National Parks volunteer programme 184 Days: Play a part in
the long term conservation of South African national parks for 6 months or one
year looking for independent, ambitious volunteers to work for one year in and
around South Africas most famous national parks. South African National
Parks (SANParks) manages a system of twenty national parks that represent the
indigenous flora, landscape and associated cultural heritage of the
country. |

Volunteer
in Ghana 28 Days: Volunteers joining this program will work and live
within one of several indigenous communities in the Central region of Ghana.
Many of the schools are lacking in both staff and resources, and the classrooms
are overcrowded. Teaching activities will include play, math, literacy, sports,
music, drama and art. A two-day orientation is included to familiarise you with
Ghana, which has a fascinating history and rich culture, as well as exploring
the surrounding area. |

Expedition members work extensively with the local community on sustainable
development programs. Ten-week expedition members are eligible for an
internship, and US college credit is available with many North American

unique and exotic island of Madagascar. Pioneers take part in a range of
practical construction work, conservation research and educational activities
as required by the NGO's projects, which focus on health and sanitation,

One
year Safari Field Guide course in South Africa 1 year: Spend six
months training in the African bush and six months working on a game reserve
This is a 12 month course which is the ideal platform for a successful career
in the African game lodge industry. Over the years, field guiding has become
more specialised and sophisticated. It has become a career, which is
increasingly viable in larger areas of Southern Africa as tourism continues to
grow, but also one which demands dedication and education.
If you do
not have one year to spare then have a look at this 4 weeks course Train
To Be A Safari Field Guide In South Africa which will give you a
fully comprehensive understanding of guiding and tracking in South
Africas wilderness. This course is run in partnership with South
Africas most acknowledged and respected safari field guide training
school and covers all the topics required for level one of the FGASA programme,
a qualification recognized by many of South Africas Universities.
