Christmas/New Year Getaways It may seem a little early in the year to mention Christmas and New Year but if you are considering a holiday in Africa for the festive season you will need to book early, as it is peak season and availability gets booked up very early. Below are some suggestions for that perfect Christmas Getaway (Note: these itineraries below are available on dates throughout the year)

Overland Trips: Christmas/New Year Getaways Those of you have more time and want to get away for an extended Winter holiday (Europe/USA) and see more of Africa, then why not consider an Overland trip. This is affordable way to travel through the different countries, experiencing the highlights a country or region has to offer. Overland trips are aimed at the adventure traveller and are generally participation camping safaris, ranging from 14 days passing travelling in two or three countries, up to 6 months - taking in the whole route from North to South. Here's are a just a few to tempt you:
	South East Explorer - Cape Town to Nairobi 41 days: departing Cape Town on the 4 December Christmas day will be at Victoria Falls Zambia Side, camping on the banks of the Zambezi about 8km above the falls. New Year will be on Lake Malawi at a great campsite called Kande Beach. Travelling from one of the worlds most picturesque cities, Cape Town, to one of the worlds natural greatest sites, Victoria Falls, this trip will take you through the vast tracts of African savannah. The richness of the wine growing regions of the southern Cape to the vastness of the deserts of the Namib, Naukluft and the Kalahari.
	Europe to Cape Town Trans Africa 203 days: departing Malaga - Spain on 11 November 2005 the trip should be around Timbuktou to celebrate Christmas and New Year's. On this safari you will experience a phenomenal range of African culture, geography and climate. We cover 20,000 miles of the continent by road, starting in Europe and ending at the Cape of Good Hope in southern Africa. Your must be prepared for an adventurous challenge!

	We have added new accommodation to our Morocco section and now have over 50 different Ryads (Riads) and small properties listed. Located in the historical city centres of Morocco, more specifically in the medinas of Marrakesh , Essaouira , and Fez amongst other cities, are riads (also spelled ryads), that are ancient palaces and private residences that once belonged to Sultan princes, aristocrats, and noble families. Nestled in the labyrinths of the medinas, these residences represent and reflect the Moroccan artisan richness and patrimony. Today, these residences have been transformed into luxury bed and breakfasts and boutique hotels inviting to travellers to experience Morocco in an entirely new manner. Private Riad rentals are also available for small groups and family holidays.
