Can anyone advise me on the best way to travel cheaply and safely from Nairobi to Mombassa please?

Train is quite affordable, check out this site which has rates and times. Don't go cheaper with third class.

Buses run between $15 - $20. Some of the more repuatable companies, Coast Bus and the Scandanavia Bus Company. Alas no websites but easily found int he phone book. Travel times are a minimum 7 1/2 hours. Be warned though, the road is horrible as you get closer to Mombasa so it may cost you a trip to a chiropractor.

Be wary of people on this website who will give you information only after you've e-mailed them.

The best and safe way to travel from Nairobi to Mombasa is by flight,though its abit expensive,but very safe.
you can also travel by train which its cheap but very slow.Another thing is that your means of travel depends on you. Formore information Email me so that I can advise and arrange for your travel.

Ok, here we go,on transportation in kenya, 3 ways fornairobi mombasa Road -affordable, but have to deal with kenya roads- by train will have to dealwith the long hours from 19:00hrs to 900am -best recommnd 2nd and 1st class which offers meals and beddings, 3rnd is by air - the most quicker one - 45 minutes- with different ooption on airlines.for more information pls visit this link;
