I am planning a trip to Zimbabwe in December 2002 to see the total solar eclipse and the rest of time on Safari. I am now beginning to have second thoughts because of what is read in the papers here in the US about white farmers being killed out there. Anyone have any latest informations since the elections? Any info to rest me fears, or to confirm what I have read would be helpful.
Thanks

Its okay there isn't anything happening in cities as the media would like for you to believe.

Tons of tourists in Vic Falls. If I were you I would go and you would never read those papers again except to check sports results.

Thats the only truth in them.

Hi Gary, We were in Zimbabwe in July and walked over the hills in Matopos where in december the total eclips will be. If I had the chance I would be there on dec 4 at 8 o'clock in the morning. Lots of signs that the country is in trouble but tourists are welcomed.
