OPENING A TRAVEL AGENCY BRANCH

Hi,

I have a Travel agency in Mauritius dealing with holidays in Mauritius as well as destinations worldwide. I want now branch out in other African countries. I would appreciate your opinion and prospects if I open a branch office in Tanzania.

I will give you my experience because I have a tour company, www dot @#$%& dot com, It is easy to open a tour company in Tanzania, and there are a lot of attractions in Tanzania, many people come to Tanzania even for a third time, that can tell you of the opportunity of this business.

If you only have customers and resource to Market Tanzania, you will be succeeding, the big challenge for tour operators in Tanzania, because many are small, is the ability to market and get clients, but the rest I am sure is not difficult.

if you would like to come and open a tour company in Tanzania alone, with a local person involved, they have their procedures to follow which will take you through the work permit etc, but you will have to go through TIC - Tanzania Investment centre, and the have the minimum value of investment to give you incentives. and at some stage they force that there must be a local person in that sharing capital.
