I am soon moving from Dublin to Dar, where I will be based for two years working for UNDP. What is the best way to find a place to rent in Dar? I have spoken to some people already who have talked about huge prices (up to $2,000 per month). I would be looking for something much more reasonable.
The type of accommodation would be a preferably a 2 bed house/appt in a decent area.
Does anyone hae any experience / advice on this. It would be greatly appreciated!

I have decided to write to you with respect to your search of an accomodation in Dar es Salaam. I have an object which could be interesting to you. It is a newly built house on a residential beach area with a huge compound for lease. It is on the finishing stages, Only 5 kilometer from the city center of Dar es Salaam at Kigamboni. The house has 3 bedrooms, sittingroom cum diningroom and a veranda. I expect a monthly rent of 1000 euros.

My family and i are moving to Dar next month and we found the best people to contact were knight frank and My Beach in Dar. They are the only ones that seem to have email & web sites. You might be able to find something for a short stay and then have a look when you're there.

I have a two bedroom flat in seaview area near Courtyard Hotel. The flat will be available from November, 2005. Rent is reasonable.
