Hi. We are expat South African’s with New Zealand citizenship turning to SA on holiday; our 17 year old was born in SA. I understand that we need to have a full unabridged birth certificate for him to entre, no problem with that. However I have been led to believe that even if you have taken on another countries citizenship and not applied to SA for dual citizenship; under 18 year olds still retain dual citizenship and have to then entre SA on a South African passport? Is this actually the case or can he travel back to SA on his New Zealand passport??
Many thanks
Bryan
