Business Ideas for Mozambique

From what is understood, land can only be leased in Mozambique for 99 years, and a project has to be implemented to keep the land.

I am looking at various options / leads / opportunities in the country to do something there.

What is your idea of contract farming / cashewnut cultivation / paddy ? i am looking at about 100ha of land, suitable for an industry.

As it stands at the moment land is 99 year lease, although there is talk to change that and give outright ownership to the buyer. Regardless of that anything you put on that land is yours and you get title deed of that asset. If you pass that asset on to your kids and grand kids and the 99 year lease is up then you get a renewable lease. Thats how it works in Mozambique and its law!
