Divorce in Morocco

Hi all..
My friend has met a man in Morocco & they want to get married asap.
He says he is divorced but he never picked up a copy of his decree absolute. Obviously he cant remarry without it.
He tells her it will cost about £1000 to get it.. Seems a lot to me.. Can anyone tell me if thats correct? Cheers xx

Sounds like a scam. Is he divorced from a Moroccan woman ? Your friend would be wise to speak to the ex wife . If this man is asking your friend to pay the 1000 then he is a scammer. What is the rush to get married ?

I think the papers cost around 40 euros . Of course if the ex is Moroccan with children he must pay maintenance.
