its a really easy fun journey. i did it myself about 1 year ago. we flew into malaga and then got the ferry over to ceuta which is a nice intro to morocco, we wanted to avoid tangier for obvious reasons!
will you be in malaga for one day? if so just cruise around near the port, there are some nice restaurants. the best book on morocco is the lonely planet guide, has heaps on info on what to do.
