Trip from Birmingham to Tetouan via Spain

Hi All

Im in the processing of planning a trip to Tetouan, I understand the cheapest way to travel is via Spain, I was wondering if anyone had made this trip before and can offer sugesstions, with regards to ferry crossings, hotels etc
any helpfull advise would be appreacited
