Hi,
I am planning to stay at Paradis Hotel in August for my honeymoon and I have lots of questions.
How is the weather in August?
Can we swimm or the sea is too cold to swimm?
Any idea about the hotel?
How much does it cost to go Port Luis by taxi?(in $)
Is the hotel far fom Pamplemousses Garden?

I'll be glad if you inform me ASAP.

Hello smiling smiley

Good choice for the hOneyMoon .

Now Paradis Hotel . once i got a friend an italian friend who stayed there and i went there it is very nice , calm and for the temperature its going to be around 25-30 degrees you can have your swim . now concerning the hotel to pamplemouses garden it is quite far about 60 km 1 hour travel by car .. ( with no congestion )
The cost of taxi from Paradis to Port louis the center it will be about 700 rupees [$25] ( if they see you are a tourist this can be doubled.. try your luck on that. Bon Voyage

Any further queries , you can mail me or drop a line here .

Hi Oksan

For the night take a light jacket with you.

To visit the pamplemousse garden the best is, you do this togehter with a round trip to the north.
The price for a round tripp is 1500 Rupie, 50 €.
So you see more on one day.

For more prices and tipps , take a look to my website:

www.mauritiustipps.de.vu

greetings and nice holidays anne

Hi Anne,
How can we arrange round trips? Do you think Hotel stuff can arrange us? If they can,Will it be more expensive than you've said?
And I have another questions about the rains. How long it rains there in August (2-3 hours or 1-2 days long).

P.S. I visited your site but everything is in German. I'll continue to contact from here...

Hi oksan

on my first page is a bottum: transaltion with goggle, go there and wait, go will get the english or french translation.
For the taxiprice you must talk with the driver.
It may be, you stay in an expensive hotel, the price will be higher.
If you want, I cam give you the phonnumber of a driver, I made some tripps with him.
From which country are you? I am german.

Oksan ,

The round trip truely cost that much . but there are some tour operators that can charge you lots of money or small tour operators that charge you less. i'll saw look for different views and prices and ask them what do they offer and their prices ( and quality of car too ) then after see for yourself. take your time and decisions its going to be your stay .. so smiling smiley feel free.

hello ken,

Yes there are designer outlet in mauritius and moreover there is a lot of fake stuff.
brand like vertigo , ralph lauren gucci.. big names right are sold everywhere on the market. so its easy to notice them.

in the east of the island , there is a lot. try a bus from the east to the west ( which is about 30 minutes ride ) you'll find a whole lot of shops.

and if you land in the central market of port louis you'll find mostly fake.

Hope that this answer your queries ken.

best regards,
K7

nice choice for choosing mauritius . you'll find anything. any further information please forward it to me .

Thanks anne ,
wonderful.

One thing that you should bear in mind is that those shop sell it at higher prices.

the same product you'll get in the market of port louis or quatres bornes at a lower price ( bargain before)

. .. ken , you are a tourist , so they will use the squeeze policy to take the best out of you. its like this everywhere and am honest here.

so do the markets firsts.

then you'll be happy and your pockets too .

best regards,
k7

Hello ken .

if anne's website isnt working . please try

www.servihoo.com ( mauritian portal)

further more let me give some some additional tips.

The second Pillar of the economy here is textile manufacturing . we have lots of factories , some create for big boxes . like next , gap etc..

but they sell factory price. Now for the market . its tough to get original , but the quality is like the original . but port louis market ; the tourist dont like it coz there are too many sellers and they tend to exploit.
other markets are good. but Ken if you visit Small towns like curepipe , vacoas or quatre bornes which are in the centre you'll get fake at a good price . and perphaps original.

am not a professional fake busters. but see for yourself smiling smiley ok Ken .

Have Fun

Hello susie.

It rains but not often.. all is depending on your luck
One thing is sure that it is cyclonic season.

But the probability of getting sunshine is high
so basically speaking you should get lots of sunshine
and good temperature smiling smiley

Bon voyage if you need anything else.

Keep in touch
