going on honeymoon need help about accom

We have decided to visit mru in feb 2004..we have not been here before. need info about accom..we don't want to spen too much on accom..is the food and water safe to eat...we wanted a hotel near/ on the beach...and that is in a area where there is shopping centers etc..please help

Food and water is absolutely safe. you can even dring tap water without any fear. chk internet for eco acco. maru is a samll country slightly bigger than delhi in area. if u eant to save money then you can take local public transport but these are available only upto 5 or6 in the evening. malls are mainly around port louis and curepipe and these are not beach areas. anyway as i said maru is not very big so u wont have a problem.
