Hello,

So you are planing to travel to Mauritius? Ok. - Well the prices for living are not so high like in Europe but they are increasing. If you go to Mauritius you can either book a hotel in advance or search for accomodation on Mauritius. The prices are moderate - it all depends on the time of travel. If you travel from June to September there will be winter (about 24 - 26 centigrade). At this time of the year the prices are good. Which part you like to travel - the north is sunny and warmer.
If you like to search accommodation on Mauritius after you arrived there - then you are facing a serious problem - you have to prove accommodation at the port of entrance - providing a telephone number or so. If you need some addresses of reasonal accommodation at the best places in the south than donĀ“t hasitate to contact me because I have been there and still have some useful addresses.

Yours

Volker

Hello Nietsune ,

I being a Mauritian confirm about all they said is true . ANne's prices . Volker's saying is true.

Volker is right . i dont see a lot of tourist during those months because of the temperature.
24 to 26.

Nietsune which country are you from ?.

Food you get a bread with chicken + a coke at 1 Euro. TAxis Expensive if you are a tourist.
Lodging a bungalow for yourself can be about 20 Euro per day . big one !

average pricing. Nietsune if you want . i can call the local authorities to contact you back.
as i live in mauritius itself

best of luck,

Hotel Not expensive ...

Flic en Flac will suite you a whole lot smiling smiley this is a small village ( well now tourist village )
near the centre of the island.

this will be 13 mins to quatres bornes a not so expensive place to do shopping.

also 40 mins max to portlouis the capital of the island.

try asking you Travel agents about all inclusive packages. You'll win out of it.
but you are coming in a peak season. the price will be expensive.

Best Regards,
K7

Hello Kayssaven,

Please would you provide me with the contact number for the dolphin excursion?

Also, being British, we are obsessed with the weather. What sort of weather can we expect at the Shandrani? We arrive on 17/09/03. I am regularly checking the forecast for Plaisance and it still appears to be rather cloudy.

Thank you Nicky & Paul

Hi Keith,
When will you be at the Shandrani?
Have you been there before and if so what is your opinion?
We are curious as this is our first time in Mauritius.
