Where should I stay in Mauritius?

Hello Anne,
I'm vacationing in Mauritius from November 29 thru December 8th. I'm sure I'd like staying in the Le Morne area, perhaps La Gaulette, but since I'm traveling alone, it may be too isolated. Are you familiar with the Ropsen Apartments there? The other option is the Ocean Villas, in the very touristy Grand Baie area. The only reason I consider Grand Baie is because I don't drive and need to be close to conveniences. Please get back to me with your thoughts.

I know Mr. Robson

he has nice Appartements in La Gaulette, but it is really a little isolated and not good beach
It is a spot for surfer!

Ocean Villas looks good, but it is 30 min to walk to the center of Grand Baie and the beach is small and the bay are many boats.

It is better to stay in Flic en Flac, Mont Choisi or Pereybere

I tried to find it, because the website it was nice.

But than I stopped wlaking, because found it too far away from the beach, and restaurants for the night

Anne advice are precious in this case. One thing i want to know... clearly Bernard. Do you want to stay far from activities.. like shopping places, restaurants. In that case La gaulette.. but the beach is not famous.
or pereybere grand baie which is Ok <img src="[www.africaguide.com]] .

Flic en flac will be a nice mixture of both those places...

What is the Quest Bernard ?
