Costs in Mauritius

My name is David (from Australia)and I am planning a honeymoon in Mauritius in late april 2004. I am looking for some feedback on Meal and drink prices (at hotels as well as locally.) Also interested in peoples opinion of good hotels. I am planning at this stage to stay at Paradise Cove or the Hilton, they look great but local advice or experience would help. Am very excited about going to Mauritius as it looks great! Thanks

the Paradise Cove ist great.

Very good in the north also:
Trou aux Biches Hotel. beautifull beach, not far away from all, busstop in front of the hotel, some shops and cheap restaurants in the near.

Basically the two hotels are good choices.

What i know as a mauritian is that Hilton specialises in SPA

Now lets go deeper into the details , people who work at hilton like it a whole lot.. so concerning the hosting side thats ok.

Hilton is a new hotel , definitely
and paradise cove has been here for a longer time i believe.

So i'll advise you to search for people who actually stayed in both of the hotels to get a real confirmation.
