I am a Mauritian resident currently married to an Indian. We are both in the UK right now.My visa ends soon and I dont have any chance to extend it. Me and my husband are planning to settle in Mauritius soon. I needed some help about how to apply for the residence permit for him. How much are the fees?

He is a Software engineer- What are the job prospects there? How much salary he can expect?

Is it easy to find rented houses/appartments? How much do they cost ect?

hi hansini, you can apply for employee, or be an entrepreneur, minimum investments USD 100,000, there if you have the chance, you can have occupational permits...

Hi Hansini,

You can settle in Mauritius with a work and residence permit. All you have to do is to come to Mauritius on a tourist visa and do all your applications once here.

IT is an emerging sector here and labour competition is very less.

Being the incharge of an IT sector, i can say your husband do stand very good chances of being quickly hire and once the job in hand, then the work permit will follow quickly.
