Dogs Welcome?

We are 2 ladies cycling through as many as possible African Countries. We each cycle with a Jack Russel dog in a basket in the front of our bicycles. We have cycled 7500km through and around South Africa. Do we need special permits to trael through Malawi with our dogs? What about quarantine?
