Description
Sipi River Lodge is located within the foothills of Mt Elgon (4321m) in Eastern Uganda. The Lodge is set amongst 17 acres of private grounds, which include the 80m Kapsururu Falls, several caves and peaceful gardens to explore. The Lodge is run with only a small number of guests at any one time making it a very ‘home away from home’ experience and we pride ourselves on the personal service we offer our guests.
Whether you are here to enjoy the challenges of the great outdoors or simply to relax and take in the sweeping views and abundant birdlife, Sipi River Lodge promises you a memorable stay.
How To Find Us
Sipi River Lodge is 4 1/2 hours drive from Kampala and just 3 hours from Jinja on perhaps the best road in Uganda! Take the main road to Mbale and then head towards Kapchorwa. There are signposts to various lodges in Sipi along the way - telling you when to turn. Once in Sipi continue for 2kms until you see our sign and a gate on the right. The road is tar-sealed right to our door.

Chepkui Family Cottage
This cosy and romantic cottage with private garden is perched on the hillside with a stunning view of the falls. The cottage features an en-suite flushing toilet and power shower, a master bedroom with giant double bed and a separate lounge with sofas, day bed and a bunk bed tucked into one corner. Perfect for families, large groups or couples.

Banda
Also set in authentic looking thatched roundhouses these individually styled bandas feature a giant double bed built from local stone, shared bathroom and shower facilities
