Description
Castelo do Mar has six elegant rooms, all tastefully decorated with natural shades and luxurious linen. All rooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite. The villa also boasts a well stocked library, a games room with a pool table, black jack table, dartboard and a fully stocked bar with exquisite views of the bay.
The villa offers a wide variety of activities, which include swimming, snorkelling, game fishing, water sports, scuba diving, picnics, birding, walks and sunset cruises.
The warm waters of the Indian Ocean offers safe swimming all year-round, with an abundance of tropical fish and dolphins. Snorkel sites include a shipwreck directly accessible from the beach in front of the villa. Other sites include nearby deserted islands and reefs that have been mapped by the staff at Castelo do Mar. Discover the timelessness of nature on an excursion into the mangrove swamps in a small motorized boat or on a traditional dhow. Allow Castelo to put together a picnic basket where they will find the ideal destination for you to relax and enjoy the feast.

How To Find Us
Castelo do Mar can be found on the tip of the northern peninsula on the Bay of Inhambane. This area is called "Linga Linga.
The town of Inhambane is roughly 550 kilometers north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique and is accessible 5 times a week on scheduled flights direct from Johannesburg International or three times a week direct from Lanseria International, or four times a week from Maputo, or alternatively by air charter or by tar road.
Castelo do Mar is a further 20 minute boat ride from Inhambane. Boat transfers from Inhambane are included in our rates.
Pricing Details
Castelo do Mar has six en-suite bedrooms.
Our rate per person per night is US $ 200,00.
Should there be a group booking exceeding 8 guests, we then offer a "house rate" at $ 1600,00 per night (maximum 12 guests.)
Our rate is fully serviced and includes all meals, (excellent cuisine) teas/coffees, local beers and soft drinks. Return boat transport from Inhambane to Castelo do Mar is included.
Our wine cellar is well stocked with an exceptional selection of wines and spirits, however this is not included in the day rate and will be extra.
