Description
Nestled amongst a valley of palm trees in Inhambane, Barra, lies the charming Montanha Valley Lodge. A newly constructed lodge.
Your hosts, Annalize and Bobby provide gourmet meals (try the Thai Prawn Stiry Fry)! and ice-cold beverages in their restaurant/bar.
The swimming pool with thatched umbrella's situated alongside the restaurant provides relief from the sultry summer conditions.
The units are serviced daily and have drinkable borehole water, gas and 24 hour electricity.
There are no seaviews but a short walk over the dune to the main beach, Praia da Barra, and one is capitvated by one of the most beautiful views!

From Maputo, follow the signs to Xai Xai (EN1). Best to fill up your vehicle at Xai Xai and continue north to Inhambane. Drive through the city of Inhambane and follow signboard to Tofo, Barra and the Airport. Continue with this road for approximately 15 minutes (badly potholed) until you reach the Barra/Tofo crossroads. With Bar Babalaza on your right hand side, continue straight on dirt road for approximately 6 Kms. On your right hand side will be a ‘big tree’ with vendors selling fruit/veg and many signs for various lodges (look for Montanha Lodge sign). Deflate you tyres to 1 bar at this point and turn right at the signboards. Continue on this beach sand road for approximately 2.5kms. Turn left at signboard for Montanha Lodge. Drive through the grounds of Montanha Lodge and follow signboard which will direct you down to Montanha Valley which is situated in front of Montanha Lodge. Please check-in at the restaurant at Montanha Valley.
