Description

Our house is furnished with mostly new furniture, the floors are completely tiled. You enter the house from a small veranda and enter the livingroom. It has seats for 7 persons, a salontable and a cupboard with television and video,in the cupboard you find Lonely Planets Guidebook for the Gambia and a small library in English and Dutch.The walls are decorated with african art.

The spacious diningroom has a table with 4 chairs.

The kitchen is completely equipped. You find a gascooker and a refrigerator with freezer and of course pots and pans, cutlery etc.In the hall you will find a firealarm.

In the guestroom is a double bed with  a ventilator and one single bed too, we have here a vacuumcleaner and ironingtable and a cupboard with mirror.Some of the mainplugs are adapted for European plugs so an adapter is not needed.The guestbathroom has  shower and toilet.

In the masterbedroom you find a kingsize bed with ventilator, a linencupboard,a toilettable with mirror and a safetydepositbox.The masterbathroom has a luxurious furnishing with  European shower, the waterpressure is always excellent!On the outside terrace you can lounge under a big umbrella, there is a table with 8 chairs. We have a barbeque and a back up generator in case the electricity is down.

All windows of the house are covered with musquitoprotection!

Our compound is about 600 square meters and is surrounded by a two meter high wall, which still makes it possible to see the street from inside the house. The wall has two gates, one for personel and one gate for a car. On the gates are African paintings. For the car we have a gravel parkingplace.The house is in the middle of the garden, the house is surrounded by perches with flowering plants. In the rest of the garden you can find fruittrees including bananas, mango, oranges, guava, limes, avocados, grapefruit and coconut

Security is very important to us!That is why we have two watchman, one for the day who is also gardener and one for the night, the watchmanshouse is situated at the back of the garden.A cleaninglady comes 5 days a week,if needed she can also cook and wash the clothes too for an extra fee.

The holiday cottage is located at Brusubi, 50 meters away from the highway. It is situated about 8 kilometers from the airport, and 3.5 kilometers away from the main tourist area Senegambia and about 800 meters from the sea(an easy walk).The Brusubi beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Gambia, a 100 meter wide strip of golden sand streching for many kilometers and with a couple of beachrestaurants.

The house is easy to reach with public transport, bushtaxis pass every 5 minutes,a taxistand is 300 meters away. Grocerystore is only 50 meters away and telecenter, taylor,bank and petrolstation  are nearby, two restaurants and supermarkets  are within 300 meters, the swimmingpool from the international Janet restaurant can be used for free . Streets are paved and have streetlights. ..At 2 kilometers distance you find The Bijilo forest park, a very nice national park with some original rainforest and some different species of monkeys, monitor lizards and lots of birds.

How To Find Us

we are very easy to find, just follow the combo coastal highway in the direction of Brufut, turn right at the brusubi turntable, after about 300 meters turn left , our cottage is the fourth house on your right side, the only one with a white roof
