Etotongwe Lodge is situated 94km Southwest from the famous Etosha Wildlife Park in Northern Namibia. The Lodge offers an affordable alternative to accommodation within the park. Experience a rural secluded feel, while being less than 2km from the city centre. Holiday makers and business people prefer to sleep with us when they stay in Outjo.
The lodge is within 120km for travel to the sites below:
To the North: Etosha National Park for game viewing.
To the West: Damaraland, with it’s Buschman rock etchings, Petrified forests, Ugab Rock Vinger, Wonder trees and desert Elephants.
To the Northwest: Koakoaveld, the last true wilderness area with the Himba people and Boab trees.
South and East: Petrified Dinosaur tracks, the Hoba meteorite and Otjikoto lake.
In the town of Outjo you will find a Museum and German graveyard with all the commodities you expect to buy for your excursion into the wilderness.
Etotongwe lodge consist of numerous separated rooms scattered like little houses throughout the 1 ha property. All buildings reminds of German colonial architecture with an indigenous garden fused with garden plants, stone and African art.
The lodge is the only establishment in the area that offers air conditioning for the hot Namibian summers. The abandons of local birds together with the wild animals that was were raised as orphans, offers a unique close encounter.
Etotongwe Lodge can be found next to the C38 Northwest as you leave Outjo towards Okaukuejo, Khorixas and Kamanjab.
