The lodge property is spread over 12 acres (circa 50,000 m2) of landscaped gardens and natural African bush land, bordering on a seasonal river bed lined with huge old trees. Many species of birds can be viewed and we also have a number of small animals like Dikdiks within the grounds.

The lodge consists of the main building, which is decorated with a central fireplace for those relaxing nights. We have a comfortable lounge bar area, a reception with state of the art communication facilities and a restaurant which serves the best dishes within the area. Integrated into the reception is a curio shop, stocked with tasteful souvenirs.

The terrace restaurant with views of the mountains, Meru and Kilimanjaro, overlooks the tropical gardens and a large solar-heated swimming pool.

There are 21 spacious comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms and verandahs, all on ground floor level. Like the main building all rooms are decorated tastefully in African style with carefully selected materials and light management.

Arumeru River Lodge was built on the site of an old coffee farm and is situated only 700 metres south of the main Arusha–Moshi road, just a 35 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 25 minutes away from the bustling town of Arusha.
